قصائد الشاعر عبد يغوث ترتكز على فعل التصور الذي يمثل الصفة الرئيسية المطلوبة في الشاعر والذي يعني الخيال، ففي مجموعته الجديدة المعنونة "لا تشربي من دمي أيتها الفراشة" يرسم الشاعر بقصائده حدوداً مكانية جديدة بعيدة عن سلطة العقل والواقع ذات ملامح جمالية قائمة على الفانتازيا "دخلنا الغابة المسحورة حيث نبع" "يحرسه قمر"... ينام في العين... كطفل في قماط الطفولة... هناك سنتمش كرضيعي خراف... ونهيم في قُبلة الزمان... على صدر الجبل المُعشوشِب... بكِشّة الراعي".
فمن واقع هذه البنية المكانية (الغابة) ومن هذا الإنفلات من الواقع المحسوس، سوف تظهر الذات... الشاعرة ويتأسس حضورها في النص "في زاوية في بيت الطين... في شتاءٍ جارحٍ ولدتُ... وكان القمرُ - كما قيل - في بدايات إكتماله... فانعكس ظلَّهُ على وجهي... وذهبتْ حياتي في إتجاهين... خطين متوازين لن يلتقيا أبداً".
وبهذا المعنى يكون الشاعر قد اهتم بتقديم شخصيته الشعرية بوصفها القناة التعبيرية الأكثر جدوى من التقنيات الأخرى، ولتكون الكتابة إمتداداً طبيعياً لنمط الشخصية (الشعرية) وتقولها في صورة واحدة وبعدٍ واحد.
يضم الكتاب قصائد نثرية جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "الرّوعْ"، "صورة في الأربعين"، "عَوْ"، "هائماً في الوادي"، "مَرح العاشقة"، "فراشة الضواحي"، "بالأسود والأبيض"، "قُبلة طويلة كدهر"، "مرض الحُب"، "الأميرة والحطاب"، "صندوق ألوان"... وقصائد أخرى.
