هذا هو الكتاب الأوّل في سلسلة (لغتي الفصحى) وهو موجّه لتلاميذ الصّفَ الأوَل الأساسي، ويهدف هذا الكتاب إلى تمكين التّلاميذ من اللّغة قراءة وكتابة، إضافة إلى تنمية قدراتهم السّلوكيّة والمعرفيّة مع التّأكيد على تنمية الحسّ الجماليّ، وذلك من خلال كتابين ثم تقسيمهما على الشّكل التّالي:
الكتاب الأول: يتضمن مراجعة للحروف الهجائيّة بصورها المختلفة كتابة ونطقاً ليتمّ التمكّن منها قبل الإنتقال إلى مرحلة ربطها وقراءة الكلمات كاملة.
يقسم الجزء الأوّل إلى دروس يتناول كلٌّ منها حرفاً فيعرض كلمات تحتوي الحرف المطلوب ويتبعها ببعض التّمارين المساعدة على حفظه.
وننتقل مع الكتاب الثّاني إلى مفهوم القصّة إذ يتناول كلّ درس قصّة قصيرة بأسلوب سهل، وقد اختيرت كلماتها من قاموس الطّفل اللّغوي بحيث راعينا تضمينها للحرف (موضوع الدّرس)؛ وهكذا يتعلّم الطّفل كيفية القراءة متّبعاً أسلوب التّهجئة مستمتعاً بقراءة أحداث مستمدّة من بيئته ومحيطه، وهي تسلّط الضوء على بعض السّلوكيّات والتّصرّفات التي يفترض بالولد معرفتها في هذه المرحلة فيكتسبها بشكل عفويّ بعيداً عن أساليب التّلقين والأمر والنّهي.
ومع نهاية كلّ درس نصّ إملائيّ يتناسب مع مقدرة التّلميذ وقدرته على الإستيعاب إضافة إلى بعض المقتطفات الشّعريّة السّريعة الحفظ.
ويتضمّن الكتاب إضاءة على مفاهيم القواعد من خلال دروس تتناول الكلمة، الجملة، المفرد، المثنى، الجمع، المذكّر، المؤنّث، وغيرها، ويرافق هذه الدّروس تمارين مختصّة بها لترسيخ مفاهيمها في ذهن المتعلّم وذلك لتسهيل الإنتقال إلى مرحلة الصّفّ الثّاني الأساسي بيسر وسهولة.
وفي نهاية الكتاب اخترنا عدّة نصوص للتّحليل معتمدين على ما احتواه الكتاب من مفاهيم لغويّة، وبهذا نكون قد حققنا هدف الكتاب الذي يُختَصَر في تمكين الطّفل من القراءة والفهم والتّحليل بأسلوب يتناسب مع سنه وقدرته على الإستيعاب.
