واعتمد المؤلف على رواية الحديث، وما جاء في القرآن الكريم عن كل نبي إضافة إلى أمهات كتب النفسير والحديث مثل: نهج البلاغة، قصص الأنبياء الشعراوي، الأنبياء حياتهم قصصهم –عبد الصاحب الحسيني، وصحيح البخاري...الخ.
ما يميز هذا الكتاب أنه في إخباره عن كا نبي يتبع طريقه السيرة الذاتية والسرد التاريخي الممتع الذي يأخذ قارئه في رحلة إيمانية تعيده إلى فطرته التي فطر الله عليها الناس وهي الإيمان. الأمر الذي ينعكس إيجاباً على سلوكه في حياته الدينا، ويزوده بزاد الإيمان والتقوى والحياة والآخرة...
