MY THIRD ABC BOOK is the last in a series of introductory books designed to acquaint the pupils with English script and teach them the sounds of the English language and few elementary grammatical structures within a very limited vocabulary. The series should very adequately prepare pupils to start any elementary course in English.
This book contains fifty lessons fully illustrated to facilitate learning. Teachers are reminded that the best way for the pupils to master the content of the book is to have the pupils repeat whole sentences after the teacher. The provision of a model to mimie is very essential in foreign language learning. The teacher's task is to provide such a model. Teachers are also reminded that constant practice and repetition are the only gateways to the mastery of language.
