تعالج هذه الدراسة، موضوع الاستيطان الصهيوني في القدس، في الفترة الواقعة بين حرب حزيران 1967، وتوقيع اتفاقية أوسلو في أيلول 1993. وهي تضم خمسة فصول، أظهر أولها مكانة القدس، والاستيطان في الفكر الصهيوني، كمدخل للغزوة الاستيطانية الصهيونية لمدينة القدس. ويتميز هذا المدخل بأنه يوضح جوانب تطور الفكر الاستيطاني الصهيوني، وارتباطه بالمكانة الدينية للقدس، في الفكر الصهيوني.
وبين الفصل الثاني: كيف احتلت القوات الإسرائيلية، الجزء الشرقي من مدينة القدس، والإجراءات التي اتخذتها هذه السلطات لتعزيز سيطرتها على المدينة. أما الفصل الثالث: فألقى الضوء، على دور كل من الحكومات، والحركات والمنظمات غير الحكومية، للاستيطان في القدس، كما يظهر المستوطنات التي أنشئت هناك بين عام 1967-1993.
وأظهر الفصل الرابع: الآثار الديمغرافية والسياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية، الناجمة عن الاستيطان الصهيوني في القدس، ومبيناً دور ذلك في تهجير السكان العرب من القدس.
أما الفصل الخامس فألقى الضوء على مقاومة السكان العرب، في المدينة المقدسة، لإجراءات التهويد بحق مدينتهم، ثم يوضح الموقف الفلسطيني بشكل عام من الاستيطان. ثم الموقف العربي والإسلامي من هذا الاستيطان. ويبرز أيضاً موقف الولايات المتحدة، والمجموعة الأوروبية ، ضمن الموقف الدولي من الاستيطان، ويتعرض أيضاً لموقف الكتلة الشرقية، مع إبراز موقف الاتحاد السوفييتي، من هذا الاستيطان. وأخيراً يظهر مواقف الشرعية الدولية من قضية القدس والاستيطان فيها.
