انعدمت بعدها مساحات التفاعل الإنساني الحر والتلقائي، وخُتمت الأقفال على الأفواه فلم تعد تُسمع سوى همهمات القرود المتكررة والرتيبة الخالية من المعنى.
بات الصمت والسكون أقل إيلاماً من الضجيج الذي يلف الوجود العربي والإسلامي وإن يكن أشبه بصمت القبور حيث ترعى الديدان النهمة وتتغذى على الجثث والهياكل العظيمة من كافة الفئات العمرية.
