يتناول الفكر الفلسفيّ المعاصر في سورية، هو الكتاب الثاني من سلسلة كتب فلسفية تصدر من مركز دراسات الوحدة العربية حول الفكر الفلسفي المعاصر في مجموعة من البلدان العربية، بعدما سبقه الكتاب الأول حول الفكر الفلسفي المعاصر في لبنان الذي صدر من المركز عام 2017. وإذا ما نظر المرءُ في اجتهادات الفلاسفة السوريّين المعاصرين، وهي الاجتهادات التي تترصّدها وتتحرّى عنها أبحاثُ هذا الكتاب، لا بدّ له من أن يدرك أنّ التوجّهات الفلسفيّة التي سار عليها هؤلاء الفلاسفة السوريين قد تنتمي إلى مذاهب شتّى؛ ففي أعمال كلّ فيلسوف سوريّ يغلب طابعٌ، ويسود منهجٌ، ويبرز منحًى، ويعلو قول. وقد صنّف هذا الكتاب تلك التوجهات الفكرية وفق مذاهب فلسفية سائدة عالمياً. ذلك بأنّ الفلاسفة السوريّين المعاصرين، شأنهم شأن جميع الفلاسفة العرب المعاصرين، تأثّروا تأثّرًا بليغًا بقضايا التيّارات الفلسفيّة الكونيّة، ولا سيّما الغربيّة منها، واجتهدوا إمّا في استساغتها وهضمها وتكييفها وتبيِئها، وإمّا في مواجهتها ومعارضتها ومحاربتها
