وضع هذا الدليل في المصطلحات الطبية ليكون التعبير عن المعاني والأفكار العلمية سهلاً ميسوراً على أبناء هذه الأمة في كل مكان، ويتم إستخدامها التفاهم العلمي على وجه من الدقة والضبط، إضافة إلى الخلاص من واقع مؤلم في المؤسسات الثقافية العليا في معظم بلادنا العربية، يتمثل في إتخاذها من اللغات الأجنبية وسيلة للتدريس والعمل.
لقد حوى هذا الكتاب سبع عشرة وحدة، اشتملت كل وحدة على كافة الأعراض والعلامات والفحوص المخبرية والأمراض لكل جهاز من أجهزة الجسم، ليسهل على القارئ معرفة هذه المصطلحات لكل جهاز، كما شرحنا كل مصطلح باللغة العربية لتكون الفائدة أعم وأشمل، كما أنهينا الكتاب بعدة ملاحق مهمة، كملحق للشرايين والعضلات والإختصاصات.
ونحن إذ نضع دليل المصطلحات الطبية - الذي لا غنى عنه - بين أيدي طلابنا وطالباتنا في المدارس وكليات المجتمع وكليات التمريض والجامعات، وبين أيدي أطبائنا وكل مثقف ليمهد الطرق الصعبة، نذلل بذلك العقبات أمام كل من يرغب في الحصول على المعرفة.
نأمل أن يكون إسهامنا بهذا العمل المتواضع سداً لثغرة في مكتبتنا العربية، وأن يساهم في دفع عجلة تعريب الطب.
