"تسألني يا صغيري.. أين أنام يا أني.. وأنت كلّما سألتني وأنا بين النوم والصحو.. وأنا إلى النوم أقرب مني إلى الصحو.. وجدت لساني يكاد يقول: ولم لا تنام في قلبي يا حبة القلب.. لم لا تتوسّد ذراعي، وتفترش أهدابك الضاحكة مقلتي؟ هنا مكانك يا بني.. فتعال إلي.. تعال لأعبث بشعرك الجميل.. تعال لأخفي جسدك الطفل في صدري.. تعال أيها الحبيب، يا قرة العين، وسكينة الروح..
يكاد لساني يقول ما يتمنى أن يقوله كل يوم.. ثم أجدني يا بني أنتبه إلى أنه ليس كل ما يقوله القلب يستطيع اللسان أن يقوله..
وأنا بين النوم والصحو يا صغيري.. وأنا إلى النوم أقرب مني إلى الصحو.. وفي ليلة عاصفة.. لا ندري من خوفها إلا رائحة التراب مسّه خير من المساء. وأصواتها مختلطة لا تمسنا بسوء.. بل ننتظر الصباح لكي يخبرنا ماذا فعلت العاصفة بمن لم يجدوا بيتاً كبيتنا، وحصناً كحصننا.. وأنا في ليلة كهذه، أ جدني معك.. أنت في أحضاني.. نعود إلى وراء وراء.. كم عاماً نعود.. ألف عام؟ بل هي أكثر.. بل هي أكثر..".
هذه كلمات وجدتني أتمنى أن يقرأها كل المسلمين على اختلاف آرائهم واتجاهاتهم، وكل الناس على اختلاف مذاهبهم ومشاربهم..
وهذه الكلمات أحببت أن تسمعها من قلبي كل المسلمات وبخاصة أولئك اللاتي يعشن حتى لحظة كتابة هذه السطور..
كلمات قد تشير بضع إشارات إلى واقع نعيشه جميعاً، ونألفه إلى حد إنساناً التفكير فيه والتساؤل عنا سيؤول إليه حالنا بعد، لكنها -تلك الكلمات- لن تستطيع تصوير ذلك الواقع والإحاطة به كل هو جدير أن يصور، وكما هو جدير أن يحاط به..
