لا يخفى على اي باحث مهتم بفلسفة العلوم ما اتنتهى إليه الوضع الإشكالي الحرج للإستقراء، ابتداء من لحظة هيوم إلى غاية كارل بوبر؛ وهو الوضع المتعلق أساساً بمشروعية الإجراء الإستقرائي الذي ظل، لعهود، مرجعاً للعلوم التجريبية ولمنهجها العلمي بامتياز. ويعود اهتمامنا بالبحث في وضع مشكلة الإستقراء عند كارل بوبر إلى موقفه الرافض لما أسماه أسطورة الإستقراء؛ ونقده لكل النزاعات الإستقرائية الرامية إلى تأسيس منطق إستقرائي، وأبرزها الوضعية المنطقية. وقد دفعنا هذا الموقف إلى الولوج، رأساً، في الإشكال البوبري، لاستجلاء حقيقة هذا الرفض وإبراز مسوغاته، والتساؤل عن مصير العلوم التجريبية في حال استبعاد الإستقراء ومناهجه، وعما يقوم مقامه في الممارسة العلمية.
وعليه، فقد كان غرضنا من هذا العمل الوقوف على أصول المشروع الإبستيمولوجي الضخم لكارل بوبر، الساعي إلى إرساء منطق جديد للكشف العلمي، القائم أساساً على المنهج الإستنباطي وإجراءات التكذيب التي تضمن للعلم موضوعيته، وتنأى به عن الدغماتية اللازمة لأشكال النزعة الذاتية.
ولعل في هذا التوجه العقلاني النقدي، في فلسفة بوبر العلمية، سبيلاً إلى تجاوز أكبر مشكلة عرفتها العلوم التجريبية، وهي مشكلة الإستقراء..
