لا شك أن لأحلام الإنسان ارتباطاً بواقعه الذي يعيشه، سواء أكان هذا الواقع متعلقاً بصحته، أم بعائلته، أم بعلائقه الاجتماعية، أن بتوفيقه وفشله، وغير ذلك من الأمور. والأحلام عالم قائم بذاته، وقد انكب الدارسون، منذ أقدم العصور، على تأويلها وتفسيرها، وفك رموزه. وقد اشتهر في تراثنا العالم ابن سيرين في هذا المضمار، وله كتابه المشهور "تفسير الأحلام".
واشتهر في الغرب العالم النمساوي سيجموند فرويد الذي يعتبر، بحث مؤسس مدرسة التحليل النفسي الذي يعتبر الأحلام المدخل الرئيسي إلى الوعي الإنسان. ولفرويد كتاب ضخم مشهور، أيضاً في تفسير الأحلام، وقد نقل إلى العربية وقد كثرت في الآونة الأخيرة كتب تفسير الأحلام وبعض هذه الكتب علمي رصين وبعضها الآخر يفتقر إلى التحليل العلمي الرصين.
وما يميز هذا الكتاب عن غيره من الكتب المدونة في هذا الموضوع هو أنه قد جاء جامعاً لكافة ما دون حول هذا الموضوع (الأحلام) في الكتب العربية والأجنبية الفرنسية والإنكليزية، وذلك يعود إلى حب مؤلفته لجمع وقراءة كل ما وقع تحت يديها حول هذه الموضوع ولما اجتمع لديها كم كبير من المعلومات في هذه اللغات الثلاثة ارتأت جمعها وفهرساها في هذا الكتاب المعنون بت"فسر أحلامك وأحلام الآخرين بنفسك".
