ولد في 3 مايس 1949 في مدينة البصرة منطقة الجبيلة وهو ينتمي الى قبيلة بلباس الكردية التي تعود في جذورها الى القائد الاسلامي الكبير خالد بن الوليد وتنقل مع والده الضابط في الجيش العراقي بين البصرة والناصرية والسماوة واخيرا في كركوك عام 1954 حيث اكمل دراسته الابتدائية وانتقل الى بغداد واكمل دراسته المتوسطة والثانوية في الكاظمية .
حاصل على بكالوريوس قانون 1972 ولغات \ اللغة العبرية \ كلية اللغات جامعة بغداد 1998 عضونقابة الصحفيين العراقيين منذ عام 1975 عضو الاتحاد العام للادباء والكتاب منذ عام 1980 عمل في الصحافة العراقية ونشر مئات المقالات والتحقيقات عمل في مجلات الشباب والمسيرة و الف باء حتى عام 2003 عضومجلس ادارة الف باء عضومجلس تحرير الف باء تراس جميع اقسامها اصدر مجلة اوراق من ذاكرة العراق اصدر مجلة اسرار ااعاد اصدار مجلة الف باء في كانون الاول 2015 وتوقف عن اصدارها في اذار 2017 لاسباب مالية اصدر اكثر من 25 كتابا منذ عام 1980 ومن ابرزها : ناظم كزار احمد حسن البكر مجزرة الخلد الاغتيال بالدبابة عبدالكريم قاسم البداية والنهاية لمحات صحفية عن عراق صدام حسين الشقاوات في حزب البعث اعد وقدم برامج عن الذاكرة العراقية في فضائيات البغدادية والسلام ودجلة وديوان متزوج وله اربعة ابناء يسكن مدينة بغداد منذ عام 1959

ليس من السهولة بمكان تناول موضوع حساس وخطير مثل اندلاع ثورة 14 تموز 1958 في العراق، والأسباب التي كمنت وراء هذا الحدث، والآثار التي ترتبت عليه. إن دراسة الواقع السياسي والاجتماعي والاقتصادي والنفسي الذي صاحب أحداث الثورة، وما تلا ذلك من مدة تجاوزت أكثر من أربع سنوات حكم خلالها الفريق الركن عبد الكريم قاسم، ليست من الأمور السهلة لما يكتنف كل ذلك من تعقيدات وملابسات تنجلي بمرور الزمن، فتظهر الحقائق والتحليلات التي تعتمد الرأي العلمي.
ويقول المؤلف بأن كتابه هذا لم يشهد النور إلا بعد جهد مضني حيث أمضى في تتبع أحداث تلك الفترة من التاريخ العراقي قرابة عشر سنوات، باذلاً جهداً في دراسة الآراء والأفكار المطروحة على بساط البحث من قبل فرقاء اختلفوا واتفقوا في وقائع وأحداث خطيرة مرت على العراق العزيز.
