هدف المنهجية هو تكوين الشخصية القانونية من خلال إكتساب اسلوب العمل ومنهج البحث بما يقرن معرفته النظرية التي حصل عليها من خلال الدراسة الجامعية بالتجربة وحسن التصرف.
وتعني كلمة منهج طريقة أو أسلوب أو نظام، بمعنى تسلح المحامي بالطريقة العلمية والمنطقية في التعامل مع المواضيع القانونية العديدة والمتشعبة بما يجعله قادراً على وضع اليد على ضوابط تحديد مادة البحث أو المعالجة، والموجهات التي تمكنه من معرفة: كيف يدرس وينقب، وكيف يعرض، وكيف يناقش.
أن أغلب كليات الحقوق في العالم بما في ذلك بلدانا نامية ركنت إلى دروس المنهجية التي تزود الطالب بالطرق العملية والمنطقية في التعامل مع المواضيع القانونية المتعددة والمتشعبة، وهو محتوى أحد فصول كتاب آخر نعده ليصدر قريباً، ليكون بمثابة معين ومرشد ودليل عمل للمحامين.
لذلك وتوخياً لنفع المحامين، وخاصة الجدد منهم، وكذلك طلاب كليات القانون وسائر الدارسين والباحثين، فقد عمدنا إلى تقسيم مباحث الكتاب إلى الفصول الآتي بيانها: الفصل الأول: "التعريف بمهنة المحاماة وأهميتها ومتطلبات ممارستها ولزوم التدريب المهني وسمات المحامي الناجح (السمات الشخصية - الذكّاء الإجتماعي) وأحكام المشاور القانوني، الفصل الثاني: حقوق المحامين وحصانتهم وسبل حماية المهنة وبيان مشكلاتها وطرق التغلب عليها وأجور المحاماة وصلة المحامين بالمعونة القضائية، الفصل الثالث: واجبات المحامين ومسائل المسؤولية والإنضباط والطعون، الفصل الرابع: نقابة المحامين - الإنتماء وشروط الإنتساب - إزدواجية المهنة - جدول المحامين - التمرين والتدرج - مالية النقابة - تقاعد المحامين.
أما ملاحق: متن قانون المحاماة رقم 173 لسنة 1965 وتعديلاته، وتعليمات توكيل المحامين رقم 15 لسنة 1997، متن قانون صندوق تقاعد المحامين رقم 56 لسنة 1981.
