تم عمل هذا الكتاب مقارنة النَّسخة المطبوعة التي اعتمد عليها المؤلف على عدَّة نسخ مطبوعة قديماً، ولم يوجد فروقاً في جميع الطبعات، خرّج الآيات القرآنيَّة الكريمة، خرّج الأحاديث النَّبويَّة الشَّريفة معتمداً على كتب الصحّاح والسُّنن وغيرها من كتب الحديث تخريجاً صحيحاً، عرّف الأعلام التي وردت في الكتاب، عرّف الأماكن أيضاً، ضبط الكتاب بالشَّكل، شرح كثيراً من غريب الكلمات معتمداً على الصّحاح، والقاموس، والتاج وغيرها.
أورد سيرة مطوّلة للإمام البرزنجي، وضعها في أوَّل الكتاب، أضاف في أوَّل الكتاب عدَّة صفحات اختارها من كتاب [زبدة السِّيرة النَّبويَّة المجمل لصحيح المنقول من تاريخ حياة سيِّدنا الرَّسول صلى الله عليه وسلم].
وفي نهاية الكتاب أضاف فصلاً جديداً لمختارات من شعر أبي طالب الذي مدح فيه رسولنا الحبيب محمِّد بن عبد الله صلى الله عليه وسلم.
