إن مسألة "القيام للقادم" من المسائل المختلف فيها، وقد صنف فيه جمع من الأقدمين، وهي كغيرها من المسائل تحتاج إلى جمع ما ورد فيها من أحاديث وآثار، وحشد أقوال الفقهاء والنظار، ودراستها بتمحيص واستبصار، ليخلص الباحث فيها والقارئ لها إلى اختيار قائم على السابلة، متابع خيار الأمة من الصحابة، ومن سار على نهجهم في الجمع والسبر والفحص والفتش.
وبحسب أن الشيخ أبا طلحة، قد قام بكل هذا في تصنيفه النافع الماتع، الذي بين يدي القارئ.
وزانه أيضاً بذكر حكايات وقصص وأشعار وتفريعات لها صلة بالمسألة، كالقيام في المولد البدعي عند ذكر اسم نبينا محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم.
والأجمل من ذلك كله صبره وطول نفسه في الجمع من المصادر والمراجع، بحيث كاد لا يفوته شيء في الباب الذي ألف فيه، وهذا مطلب من مطالب التأليف.
ولما يجتمع في المؤلف الجمع مع الاستقصاء، وذكر الأشباه والنظائر، والإحاطة بالمصادر والمراجع، وجهود العلماء المبذولة فيها، وصحة الاستدلال: رواية ودراية، وحسن الأسلوب، والإتيان بالتفريعات، وحصر الجزئيات التي تتعلق بالباب، فإنه يكون نافعاً، جامعاً، وإن قرن ذلك: صدق وإخلاص وتجرد من مؤلفه.
