"طالب المعمري عضو مجلس الشورى، ممثل عن ولاية لوى للفترة (2011-2015م) ، أهكذا أعرفه أم أكتفي بطالب المعمري الإنسان الكاتب؟!" وبعيداً عن أسباب السجن ، فإن الكاتب برع في تصوير المكان / السجن في عدد من الأعمال الأدبية، فيأخذنا عبر صفحات الكتاب إلى رواية (البؤساء) لفكتور هيجو، ثم الشبلي وهو صاحب الحلاج والحلاج نفسه، مروراً بإبن عربي وعلي بن الجهم وزينب الغزالي في كتابها (أيام من حياتي) ثم المعتمد بن عباد الملك والشاعر في دولة ملوك الطوائف، ومن ثم يأتي إلى محمود درويش ، ويعود بالزمن إلى أبي فراس الحمكداني في رومياته، ومع ابي العلاء في سجنه من خلال ما كتبه طه حسين ... وآخرون. والكاتب هنا يطرح قضية عامة وشائكة وجد أن الأدب العُماني لم يتناولها في سيرته القديمة والحديثة، وإنما بقيت حكراً على كتب المدونات والسير، على الرغم من أنها من الأمور المشروعة في الفن الروائي ... وحسبه أن فتح الباب، أليس الأدب مرآةً للواقع؟
