اقتضت حكمة الخالق تبارك وتعالى أن ينزل القرآن على رسوله محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم منجماً، وذلك خلال ثلاث وعشرين سنة، حتى تتهيأ النفوس البشرية لتلقي هذا الفيض الإلهي، والقرآن الكريم هو أعظم معجزة باقية لنبينا محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم فقد جمع بين دفتيه، جميع القوانين والحقوق والواجبات والعلوم وهو دائم الإعجاز. وأحد وجوه الإعجاز في القرآن هو الإعجاز العددي.
إذ يتضمن هذا عدة موضوعات منها المقابلات العددية، كأن ترد الكلمة وعكسها في القرآن كله بنفس العدد، ومنها التفوق الحسابي لتكرار الحروف النورانية في السور ذات الفواتح كأن تبدأ السورة مثلاً بحرف (ق) فيكون معدل تكرار هذا الحرف في هذه السور أكبر من معدل تكراره في كل السور. ومنها معجزة الـ(19) في السور ذات الفواتح، ومن أبسطها، أن السورة التي تبدأ بحرف واحد مثل (ن) فإن تكرار هذا الحرف في هذه السورة يكون من مضاعفات العدد (19). وفي هذا الكتاب يشرح المؤلف مظاهر هذا الإعجاز العددي في القرآن.
