قد حدد القرآن الكريم دور الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم بوضوح لا لبس فيه: ﴿وَأَنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ الذِّكْرَ لِتُبَيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ مَا نُزِّلَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَلَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ ﴾... [سورة النحل: الآية 44]. ﴿وَمَا أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ إِلَّا لِتُبَيِّنَ لَهُمْ الَّذِي اخْتَلَفُوا فِيهِ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً لِقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ﴾... [سورة النحل: الآية 64].
وعليه، فإن من الواجب أن نحسن قراءة كل ما وصلنا صدقاً عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بصفته كمبلِّغ للوحي ﴿ قُلْ إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُكُمْ يُوحَى إِلَيَّ﴾... [سورة الكهف: الآية 110].
لكن المشكلة هي في التعامل الحرفي الشكلاني مع النصوص، وغياب القيم والمقاصد الناظمة للخطاب الإسلامي أمام طغيان بعض الجوانب المشهدية المنسوبة للإسلام بحق حيناً، وبدونه أحياناً لذلك تأكدت الحاجة إلى الوقوف موقف التلقي الواعي لكلام الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم وهو لا يزال مكلماً الإنسانية عامة، وكل واحد منها بصفته وشخصه.
وهذا الكتاب يضم بين دفتيه - هو ولاحقه - أحاديث نبوية صحيحة متعلقة بتشكيل العقل الإسلامي مرفقة بمنهج مطبق في حسن التلقي والتشريح لكل واحد منها فسالت أنهار المعاني واحتمل السيل زبداً رابياً مما تأكد وجوب تجاوزه من رؤى وأفهام والأمل معقود أن يمتلك هذا المنهج أناس، فيكونون - بعد هذه المحطة التدريبية - قادرين على التعامل مع بقية الأحاديث النبوية في آفاقها.
