نعلم أنّ في سرّ الإفخارستيّا نستقبل المسيح فينا، لكن ألا نبلغ من الصِغر ليكون هذا الأمر مُستحيلاً؟ أليس نحن من ندخل في يسوع غير المحدود، أي في جسد السرّيّ؟ يبني يسوع من خلال سرّ الإفخارستيا جسد الإنسانيّة ليكون واحدًا، أي الإنسانيّة الموحّدة فيه، فهو مبدؤها وغايتها (الألف والياء)، فمن دون هذا التصوّر تفقد الإفخارستيّا معناها. لقد استقبلنا هذا السرّ في طفولتنا، وبعضنا عندما كان رضيعًا، لكن يضرب الأب بولاد موعدًا معنا كي نتعمّق في هذه المعاني تعمّق البالغين، كي لا تكون الإفخارستيّا موعدًا أسبوعيًّا أو موسميًّا مع المسيح وحسب، بل تكون مركز حياتنا، ومدخلًا إلى كلّ تفصيلٍ من حياة يسوع.
