هذه دراسةٌ بلاغيّة قيّمة تناولتُ فيها المؤلفة نصوصاً من الأجوبة المُسْكتة التي جمعها ابن أبي عَوْنٍ المتوفَّى سنة 322 هـ، وكشفت ما انطوتُ عليه من وجوه الحُسْنِ والذكاء والإيجاز والبديهة الحاضرة النَّابهة.
أبانت هذه الدراسة أنَّ الأجوبة المُسْكتة ثروةٌ متنوّعة الفنون والأفنان شملتْ مناحيَ الحياة كلَّها، فعكست أنماطاً من التَّعبير والتَّفكير، وكانت سجلّاً حافلاً بالقيم والأدب والفلسفة والسّياسة والتَّاريخ والعِبر.
تُعَدُّ هذه الدّراسة دراسةً تطبيقيَّةَ وقفتْ على ما في نصوصِ الأجوبةِ مِنْ وجوهِ مُحْكَمةٍ، وهذا الضَّربُ منَ الدّراسات التطبيقيَّة قليلٌ في الدَّرْسِ البلاغيّ الحديث، ويقلُّ هذا القليلُ في بابة الأجوبة المُسْكتة.
