الصياد تقع له مع البعض ممن يكرهونه حوادث كثيرة وتأليب الآخرين عليه..
في خط موازٍ يقوم الكاتب بإضاءة لمجموعة من الأشخاص الآخرين منهم الراعي الذي يتزوج امرأه فقيرة من القرية كان يعطف عليها الصياد.. وشاب يعمل ممرضاً يغوي الفتيات وينتهي أمره في السجن..
وزوجة الصياد المتمردة التي تهمل أطفالها لتموت صغيرتها في النهاية مريضه في غيابها مما يضطره إلى تطليقها والزواج من ابنة الشيخ التي كانت تقدره وتحبه.. وأيضا العصابة التي كانت تهدد القرية وتسرق مواشيها وبيوتها وصراعه معها وانتصاره في النهايه بعد معاناة وخسائر.
