كثرت في جوامع ومدارس دمشق المحروسة ظاهرة السماعات المكتوبة على طرزالمخطوطات وفي آخرها، خصوصاً بعد منتصف القرن السادس الهجري، ومن المعلوم عند المحدثين أن للسماع قيمة أصلية، ورتبة رفيعة في توثيق رواية نص الحديث، وأنها جزء من الإسناد، والإسناد من الدِّين، وهو كرامة لهذه الأمة المحمدية. وهذا الكتاب هو واحد من الكتب والأجزاء المقروءة في جوامع ودور الحديث بدمشق. وقد قرئ في دار الحديث النورية وهي أول دار للحديث بدمشق بناها السلطان "نور الدين الشهيد " حافظ الشام ابن عساكر.
