هذه رسالة لطيفة، في مسألة فقهية مشهورة، الخلاف فيما بين الفقهاء معروف، ألا وهي مسألة التسميع للمأموم، أي: قول "سمع الله لمن حمده"، هل يأتي به المأموم أو لا؟
ولا شك أن هذه المسألة تصلح لأن تكون مثالاً من الأمثلة الكثيرة للمسائل التي يسوع فيها الاختلاف والاجتهاد، وأنه لا إنكار فيها، فقد قرر العلماء القاعدة الفقهية النفيسة: "لا ينكر المختلف فيه، وإنما ينكر المجمع عليه"، وذلك إذا لم يكن الخلاف ضعيفاً، بان تكون مآخذ الأقوال معتبرة، كما هو الحال في مسألتنا.
وصاحب هذه الرسالة هو إمام جليل، وعالم فذ، يتضح ذلك لكل من طالع كتابه "عجالة الإملاء" في التعليق على "الترغيب والترهيب" للمنذري.
وللمؤلف مصنفات كثيرة، لكنها لم تخرج إلى عالم المطبوعات بعد.
