الكتابُ هو الإصدارُ الشّعري السّادس للشاعر عبد الرحيم الخصّار، الذي لم يكتفِ بالاعترافِ في أوّل قصيدة بأنّه هوَ القبطان: "أنا هو/ وهذه القبعةُ التي أضعها على رأسي/ لا لتحميني من الشمس/ بل لتحمي الشمسَ من أفكاري"؛ إنَّما سيُكرِّرُ الاعتراف في صيغةِ عناوين وجملٍ تبدأ بكلمة "رجل"، لنلتقي بظلال رجالٍ تبنّى الشاعر قصصهم، وتجاربهم في الحبّ، والخيبة، والمغامرة على حافّة أزمنةٍ مُنهارة، وأمكنة تُبدِّلُ أشكالها، وكائناتٍ وأشياء؛ يستدعيها إلى قصائدهِ فتتحوَّل إلى ذاكرة حيّة، لها ماضٍ وتاريخ وحضورغارقٌ في التفاصيل.
تلك هي قصيدة عبد الرحيم الخصّار المنشغلة عن العالم بالاشتغال على ذاتِها، لكنّها سرعانَ ما تعودُ لتكتبَ العالم ذاتَه، وقد استلزمت من صاحبها لغةً مُنسابةً، كنهرٍ يمضي في الشّعاب، يظهرُ حينًا ويختفي حينًا آخر، لرؤيا العين فقط، لكنَّه موجودٌ وراسخٌ وله أن يسردَ لنا قصصَ زوارق مرّت، وأخرى غرقت، وثالثة تاهت، سيحكي لنا عن ضِفَّتيْه، وبحرهِ المآل. ولكنْ، أيُّ بحرٍ هذا الذي يجعلُ عبد الرحيم الخصّار يُعنوِنُ كتابهُ بـ القبطانِ البرّي؟ إنها يابسةُ المدينة، والشوارع والأمكنة اللّزجة التي تنهمرُ عليها الخطى.
هذا الانشطار المقصود في المعنى، يمنحُ القارئ، مساحةً للتفكير جماليًا في الطريقة التي يكتبُ بها عبد الرحيم الخصّار قصائده، هناك حضورٌ لافتُ للموسيقى، لآلاتها وعازفيها، وأصوات المغنّينَ المنسيّين في زوايا معتمة، ومدنٍ بعيدة، حيثُ هناك دائمًا امرأةٌ تأتي وتغيب، هناك صوتُها، هناك أيضًا السّاعاتي والقيثار الإسبانيّ، والموت الذي يؤكّد لنا أنَّ حبلَ الأيام قصير.
