تقدم "كيكا" مجلة الأدب العالمي في عددها المزدوج (السابع والثامن)، خريف 2015 مجموعة من النصوص الإبداعية المترجمة والمكتوبة باللغة العربية، تتضمن أعمالاً بين القصة القصيرة والقصيدة والمقالة، لكتّاب مثل هنريك إبسن، سالي ماكفرين، يورغن هرمان مونراد، مادلين ثيان، ميروسلاف هولوب وآخرون.
كما تقرأ في العدد إحدى عشرة قصيدة للشاعر العراقي خالد المعالي، ونص مسرحية "حمام بغدادي" لجواد الأسدي إضافة إلى فصلين من كتابه "مسرح النور المر"، النصوص المترجمة نقلت إلى العربية عن لغات كالإنجليزية، الفرنسية، الألمانية، الدنماركية، التركية، الكردية، والبرتغالية، وبجهود عدد من المترجمين، كفاضل العزاوي الذي ترجم نصاً جميلاً للشاعر التشيكي الراحل ميروسلاف هولوب، وماجد الحيدر وعلي عبد الأمير صالح اللذان ترجما قصتين ممتعتين "سفارة كمبوديا" للكاتبة البريطانية زادي سميث، و"أن تؤمن بالحب" للكاتبة الكورية كوون سوربون، أما خالد الجبيلي فترجم قصة حزينة جداً بعنوان "حلوى الزفاف" للكاتبة الكندية الصينية مادلين ثيان، ويأخذنا محمد خشان في رحلة إلى اليابان، البلد الذي سمع عنه في طفولته، وها هو اليوم، في السبعينات من عمره، يتجول في شوارع طوكيو ويزور معابدها ويمتدح ناسها، بلغة رشيقة ترفرف عليها روح المحبة والإخاء في مديح الآخر المختلف.
وفي هذا العدد أيضاً، نصوص الأدباء وباحثين شاركوا في ندوة عن القضايا التي تواجه المدن الكبرى في عالمنا المعاصر، مثل التمدن المتزايد، كثافة السكان، التغير المناخي، الأصولية الدينية والتنامي المتسارع لتكنولوجيا الإنترنت والكمبيوتر، ومقالات أخرى ذات صلة.
