إن إنتقال النظريات والمفاهيم ظاهرة علمية تطرح مشاكل منهاجية وإبستمولوجية تستحق الطرح والتحليل والمدارسة وتبادل الرأي، لذلك عقدت مائدة مستديرة بتاريخ 5- 8 دجنبر 1996 لمعالجة هذه الظاهرة العلمية، وقد شارك فيها باحثون من حقول معرفية مختلفة، وكشفوا عن اهمية هذه الظاهرة وأبعادها ومشاكلها.
وقد تناولت الأبحاث المنشورة هنا ظاهرة إنتقال النظريات والمفاهيم من جوانب مختلفة: فهناك أبحاث اهتمت بتكون المفهوم أو النظرية في مجالين معرفيين مختلفين: مجال المعرفة الأوروبية أو اليونانية، ومجال المعرفة العربية الإسلامية، وما يترتب عن إنتقالهما من المجال الأول إلى المجال الثاني.
وهناك أبحاث اهتمت بتكون المفهوم وما يطرأ عليه من تحولات وتغيرات عبر الزمن، وهناك أبحاث اهتمت بإنتقال المفاهيم من حقل معرفي إلى حقل معرفي آخر، وهناك في الأخير بحث نظري للباحث الألماني شميت، يقترح فيه مقاربة نسقية للدراسات الأدبية.
