وللتخلل في التوازن البيئي الأثر الأساس في اختلال معادلة الطبيعة وهو يتخذ أشكالاً عديدة منها تقلص الغطاء النباتي على وجه الأرض وكذلك انقراض الكثير من أنواع الحيوانات وهكذا تدفع البيئة وبالتالي الإنسان ثمن القرارات غير المسؤولة والمبرة أساساً تحت تبريرات ليست لها نظرة أعمق وأشمل للمستقبل الذي سيؤول إليه التوازن البيئي ومن هذه التبريرات ضرورات التنمية وتلبية الحاجات وهذه التبريرات بالتأكيد لا تصمد للأبد حين يتم معادلتها بالثمن الفادح الذي يدفعه الإنسان والبيئة واليوم، والذي تشاركه فيها أجيال قادمة لم تكن قد شاركت في عملية بناء الركن الأساسي لعالم ملوث حتى أن الغلاف الجوي لم يسلم من آثار التلوث حيث يمثل ثقب طبقة الأوزون تهديداً خطيراً للحياة على كوكب الأرض إذ سبب تغير في المناخ وارتفاع درجة حرارة الأرض وغيرها من الاحتمالات التي أدت إلى طرح موضوع البيئة وصحتها بشكل دقيق ومكثف، ونحن هنا حاولنا بشيء من التوضيح عرض عدة مواضيع بهذه الخصوص تتضمن عناصر البيئة وتلوث الهواء والتربة والمياه.
