في العدد التاسع والعشرون (كانون الثاني (يناير) 2016) تسلط "مجلة التحكيم العالمية" الضوء على دورة اليونسترال التي عقدت في الأمم المتحدة في نيويورك، وكانت مخصصة للتحكيم واليونسترال التي صارت اليوم "المشرّع الدولي الأول الذي يضع للدول مشاريع القوانين وقد أعطت اليونسترال القانون النموذجي للتحكيم الذي أخذت أكثر دول العالم عنه قانونها التحكيمي، كما وضعت منذ سنتين قواعد جديدة للتحكيم".
وفي هذا العدد تعرض المحامية رولا الحاج، وهي من أسرة تحرير المجلة، تقريراً عن هذه الدورة وكل المناقشات التي جرت بين دول العالم في اليونسترال حول التحكيم من الأول من شباط (فبراير) إلى الخامس منه.
ومن تلك الإجتهادات في مجال التحكيم التي تعرضها المجلة نذكر: 1-الأردني: الذي اعتبر عدم تحديد الشرط التحكيمي للقانون المطبق، اعتبر أن ذهنية التحكيم غير مقيّدة بتعيين أي قانون تختاره ليطبق في التحكيم، 2-الإماراتي: اعتبر أن شرطاً تحكيمياً تضمن بذل مساعي تسوية ودّية قبل اللجوء إلى التحكيم وإستمرار الخصوم في إجراءات التحكيم وعدم تمسك المطعون ضدها بالمساعي الودية أمام هيئة التحكيم يستدل منه فشل التسوية الودية، 4-الفرنسي: اعتبر أن حكم التحكيم الصادر خارج المهلة المحددة يفضي إلى إبطال الحكم التحكيمي وإلى مسؤولية المحكم الذي يحاسب على هذه الخطأ.
وفي هذا العدد أيضاً أخبار التحكيم كثيرة منها مشروع قانون التحكيم الليبي والإتفاقية الموحدة لإستثمار رؤوس الأموال العربية في الدول العربية، وقواعد قانونية عصرية لسلامة التحكيم في نزاعات المستثمرين، وآراء فقهاء وقضاة عرب وأجانب وقرارات وإقتراحات وموضوعات أخرى ذات صلة.
