عربي من العراق من مواليد 1924 عمل في سلك التعليم لفترة تجاوزت ربع القرن مدرساً ومفتشاً ومديراً للتعليم الثانوي ومديراً عاماً لتربية بغداد، ومستشاراً ثقافياً للسفارة العراقية في لندن ثم للسفارة العراقية في الجزائر، انتقل إلى وزارة الخارجية حيث عمل في السلك الدبلوماسي سفيراً في أفغانستان ثم الجزائر ثم لندن ثم إيران (على عهد الشاه ثم الجمهورية الإسلامية)، ثم تونس فالمملكة العربية السعودية، وعمل وكيلاً لوزارة الخارجية لمرتين أولاهما بين 1976- 1978 والثانية بين 1981- 1983، كما عمل ممثلاً دائماً للعراق في جامعة الدول العربية وممثلاً دائماً في منظمة المؤتمر الإسلامي.
تقاعد عن العمل بموجب السن القانوني في بداية عام 1988، وبعدها أنتدب عضواً في اللجنة الإستشارية المرتبطة بمكتب السيد رئيس الجمهورية، ثم أعيد للخدمة مرة أخرى بدرجة خاصة رئيساً لديوان المجلس الوطني عام 1999 وأخيراً أعيد إلى التقاعد في نيسان 2004 بناء على طلبه بعد الإحتلال الأجنبي للعراق وهو يضع هذه (الحقائق) على هذه الصفحات فإنه لا يهدف الإساءة إلى أحد ولا الثناء على أحد بل يترك للحقيقة أن تأخذ مكانها وللقارئ أن يدرك.
