Ce livre est hors du commun: Il propose d'offrir une "lecture plutot moderne" que "nouvelle" du Coran.
Il utilise la philosophie et les decouvertes scientifiques modernes afin d'explorer et d'etudier certains versets, jusque la consideres comme enigmatiques.
Il est different en ce sens que le Dr Mahmoud demontre la pertinence du Coran quand il traite des questions cruciales de l'homme specialement celles du monde actuel. Il est essentiellement une invitation a la reflexion; il lance un defi contre la separation de la religion et des sciences.
Il stipule que la realite devrait etre soumise aux lois du monde physique, donc il faut distinguer ce qui est reel "scientifique", voire "acceptable", de ce qui apparait irreel, non scientifique, donc "inacceptable".
Cependant, al science moderne a defie toute cette facon de penser, et DR Mahmoud l'a bien mentionne. Un pont est en train d'etre erige entre la religion et la science. En fait plusieurs hommes de sciences modernes assurent que la science confirme al religion, et plusieurs hommes de religion affirment que les decouvertes de la science ne contredisent pas la foi dans "L'Invisible".
