قام علماء الأمة الإسلامية قد قاموا بخدمة هذا الدين، فصنفوا الكتب والأجزاء في شتى نواحيه، فمن ذلك هذه الرسالة اللطيفة التي جمعها العالم الصالح العامل الشيخ عبد الرحمن بن أبي بكر بن داود الصالحي الحنبلي المتوفى سنة 856هـ في فضل إماطة الأذى عن الطريق.
وقد كان الباعث له على ذلك هو ما رآه من وعورة الطريق من دمشق إلى طرابلس الشام وما فيها من صخور كانت من الصعوبة بمكان على السالك لها، فلهذا ندب جمعاً من إخوانه وأصحابه لرفع هذا الأذى عن الطريق طمعاً في الأجر، واحتساباً للثواب من الله تعالى.
