ولد في مسقط - سلطنة عمان في ابريل 1971م ، حاصل على دبلوم عالي في دراسات الحاسب الآلي ودبلوم في علم اللوازم من الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية ، يكتب القصة القصيرة منذ اواخر الثمانينات من القرن المنصرم ، نشر في العديد من المجلات الثقافية المحلية والخليجية التي كانت تصدر في ذلك الوقت .
من مؤلفاته : قلق آخر - 2006م و ضجيج الأسماء العابرة - 2009م .
وفي الطبع : أحاديث صحيحة من أطراف البلدة .

سرديات عبد الله بن عرابة هنا في – أحاديث صحيحة من أطراف البلدة – تحتفي بسلطة الحديث، وقد صاغها في الكتاب على شكل أفكار ذات نبرة وعظية خطابية وإنشائية ليقول من خلالها ما يريد " يا معشر الكتاب سووا بين الحروف، وحاذوا الفكرة بالفكرة، إعتدلوا، إن تسوية النصوص من تمام الإبداع. وإن القارىء الحصيف لا ينظر إلى النص الأعوج"، وبهذا المعنى تتكشف الكتابة عند الكاتب بكونها هماً حياتياً، ويومياً، ومعرفياً، يقول: "أفكر أن النص قد يتوقف عند نقطة معينة نسميها – جزافاً – النهاية. بيد أن الشخوص والأحداث والكائنات والمكونات الأخرى لعبادة النص تظل محتدمة، تسبح في حيز السديم الذي نسج غلالته ذلك النص، ولن تتوقف عند نهاية معينة إلا إذا توقف الكاتب والقارىء معاً عند منحدر سحيق معين". بهذا الخطاب يتوجه الكاتب إلى أقرانه من الكتّاب وإلى القارىء أيضاً، وذلك من خلال القبض على مجموعة من الأفكار تشكل موضوعة الكتاب الرئيسية.
