التعليم المتمايز هو إطار أو فلسفة للتدريس الفعال الذي ينطوي على تزويد الطلبة بطرق مختلفة متنوعة لمساعدتهم في اكتساب المحتوى؛ وبناء المعاني، وصنع الأفكار، وكذلك تطوير مواد تعليمية وطرق مناسبة للتقييم، حتى يتسنى لجميع الطلاب داخل الصف الدراسي أن يتعلموا بشكل فعال، بغض النظر عن الإختلافات في القدرة، حيث من الطبيعي أن يختلف الطلاب في الثقافة والوضع الإجتماعي والإقتصادي، واللغة ونوع الجنس، والدافع، والقدرة أو العجز، والمصالح الشخصية وأكثر من ذلك.
