يتحدث المؤلف فى هذا الكتاب عن احد اقرب اصداقاء الادباء وهو كام يسميه المشاغب احمد متولى وقد كانا من اشد الاعداء ليسوا اعداء بالمنازعات ولكن بعدهما عن بعضها جعلها عدوين ولكن مع الايام والوقت والجذب والشد اصبحا اقرب صديقين الى بعضهام واتفقا وتفاهما واثبت كل منهما للاخر انه نعم الصديق ان المشاغب وكانت تدور حول الكثير من الشائعات التى تصفه العدوانية والتى جعلت المؤلف يكره صداقته وبعد ان صارا صديقين اكتشف انه حنون وفنان ورجل ومتفاهم الى اقصى درجه حتى ان حياته صارت بلا طعم بدون صديقه هذا وعليه فقد قرر ان يكتب هذا الكتاب اعتذارا منه الى صديقه ولقربا منه واصلاحا لخطا وقع فيه هو سوء اعتقاده فيه ولم يكن كذلك .
