في قصيدة تحت عنوان "وطني" يقول الشاعر: "وطني ليث ينام/ يغفو على نغم السلام/ لا تؤرقه الكواسر/ والضواري/ ولا يغتاظ من لسبع/ الهوام/ سيَب الغابات/ للذئب والضبع/ للفهد والنمر/ واقتفى نهج النعام (...)".
يضم الديوان ما يزيد عن الخمسون قصيدة في الشعر العربي الحديث نذكر من العناوين: "كلب الأمير"، "نعم، نعم"، "القرية الكونية"، "الإختراق"، "إستهتار"، "سيد التحرير"، "دعني أريح وأستريح"، "مخيم جنين"، "من يكون؟"، (...) الخ.
