للشاعر زمنه ولغته التي يفصح بها عن مشاعره المتولدة تحت تأثير تفاعله مع محيطه وبيئته. وهكذا هو الشعر باللغة العامية. لا يختلف عن أي نوع أدبي آخر إذ أنه ينهل من منهل والتجربة والمعاناة ويعلو بقدر قربه وملامسته لمعاناة الناس. يحلق الشاعر في هذا الديوان في أجواء عابقة بروائح الألم والغربة والمعاناة ليترجم الأحاسيس والانفعالات شعراً يتفجر بلغة عذبة سلسة لا تنفك جزءاً من الواقع حيث تحتل هموم الوطن والأمة والناس الموقع الأول في اهتمامات الشاعر: "ما بين جرح كربلا، ودموع النهرين، نيشفت قلامي، انقتل بالصبح علي، ودم الحسين، عطشان قدامي، صوت الآذان مبحوح، ومضيع المحراب، الصلا تمتمة بلا روح، نسيت سور لكتاب".
