Book Description
هذا الكتاب ما هو إلا محاولة متواضعة لمقاربة ابن باجة من الناحيتين الشخصية والمعرفية، والإضاءة على أبرز مكونات فكره الفلسفي ورؤيته للإنسان عقلًا وجسدًا، ودراسة تأثره بمن سبق من فلاسفة، وتأثيره في من لحق منهم، في الشرق كما في الغرب.
خالف ابن باجة أرسطو في نظرية المعرفة وإنسانه الاجتماعي، وأخرج الفكر العربي من سجنه. وانصبَّ جهده على إعادة الروح الفلسفية إلى العالم العربي الإسلامي، وهذا ما تكلل ببروز ابن رشد الذي كانت علاقته بصاحب السلطة أبلغ من أي خطاب. تنتهي أطروحة الكتاب بالسؤال الموجع: لماذا لم نستفد من مثل هذا الإنجاز الذي عرفته الفلسفة، في العلوم الوضعية؟ ولماذا تقدم الآخر في العلوم الوضعية، وتخلفنا نحن؟
