من منا لم يطرب لسماع بيت او أكثر مما قاله المتنبي فوجد فيه ضالة أحاسيسه وتجاربه - هذا إن كنت غير مهتم أو متخصص في الشعر - فما بالك إن كنت من المتخصصين فسوف تعرف أنه نابغة لن تكرر - طفرة جادت بها الدنيا ولن تجود بمثلها فقد إنتهى عهد المعجزات سمو المتنبي لأنه أدعى النبوة عاصر كثير من الملوك والسلاطين ، أضاف الكثير للشعر العربي ولا يزال العرب يتغنون بشعره فهو إن لم يكن نبي وصاحب رسالة كما أدعى فد كان نبي الشعر والفصاحة في عصر الفصاحة وكعادة كثير من الشعراء من تجده يمدح أحدهم في قصيدة قد يذمة في أخرى وقد فعلها وله من الحكايات العديد والعديد.. فهو فارس الكلمة وشهيد الكلمة أيضا .. فقد قتلته مجموعة من أبيات قالها ولم يعلم أنها قاتلته فكان من الشعر ما قتل.
