ولقد امكن لاكراد العراق منذ عام 1970 ان يحصلوا علي اتفاقية مع الحكومة العراقية منحتهم وقتها حكما ذاتيا واستمروا في نضالهم حتي امكنهم بعد حرب الخليج الثانية القيام بانتفاضة مارس 1991 التي قمعها صدام حسين .
ومنذ هذا التاريخ وحتي سقوط نظام صدام حسين حقق اكراد العراق العديد من المكتسبات التي يرصدها هذا الكتاب بالتفصيل للقاريء العزيز.
