ابن الورديِّ البكريِّ الصديقيِّ الشافعيِّ إمامٌ في الفقه، مبرزٌ في الأدب، متوشحٌ بالزهد والورع. وهذه اللاَّميَّة الحكمية المشهورة بـ «لامية ابن الوردي» تنفُث بالسحر الحلال، وتتجلى فيها براعة هذا الإمام، إذ إن لها حلاوة متميزة، وبهاءاً أخاذاً، وحسن سبك، فالتقى سموّ الأسلوب، وعلوّ المضمون، فذاعت وذاعت، وحفظها الصغار، واستشهد بأبياتها الكبار، فأنجدت وأتهمت، وشرقت وغربت؛ لقوة وقعها في القلوب، وعميق أثرها في الوجدان.
والإمام البكري كان على درجة كبيرة من الزهد والورع والمراقبة، فأملى صادق الكلم، وأتى بجوامع الحكم، ووعظ فيها وذكَّر، ورغَّب في معالي الأمور ومن سفاسفها حذّر، فكانت هذه المنظومة تحفةً سنية، وجوهرةً يتيمة، فلهذا لبست من محاسن الأدب حللاً، ومن تيجان الفضائل محاسناً، وهي من أجمل ما أنتجه هذا العبقريّ المحنك، الألمعي البازل، البكري الصديقي.
وكان ممن اعتنى بهذه اللامية الفريدة الشيخ المتبحر الأثري مسعود القناوي الشافعي، فسبح في يمِّها، واستخرج جواهرها، واستخلص يتيمها، وأظهر خفاياها، وأبان كنوزها، ووشَّاها بكل معنىً لطيف، ووشَّحها بكل أثرٍ شريف، وأتى لمعانيها بالأشباه والنظائر، وحلاها بالعقيان والجواهر، وأكثر من العظات والتذكير، وأردفها بأحاديث البشير النذير، وفي أثناء ذلك بحوث فقهية، ونقول عن أئمة المذاهب، فهو يتنقل بك من حسن إلى أحسن، ومن مهم إلى أهمّ.
والخلاصة: إن هذا الشرح اسمٌ طابق المسمى، وسفر فاخر السُّها، فهو بحقٍّ فتح الرحيم الرحمن، وأضواءٌ من البيان، وفتوحاتٌ أفاض بها الملك الديان على الماتن والشارح معاً.
وقد طُبع الكتاب قديماً طبعةً عريَّةً عن التحقيق، خاليةً من التوثيق، لم تبرأ من التصحيف، ولم تخلص من معرَّة التحريف، إلا أن الكتاب لقي قبولاً واسعاً، وانتشر انتشاراً ملحوظاً حتى انقطع خبره، واختفى مظهره، لذا قامت دار المنهاج، ممثلةً في أعضاء هيئتها المعنيّة بتحقيق التراث، فحبرتها تحبيراً، وحققتها تحقيقاً علمياً، وأخرجتها في ثيابٍ قشيبةٍ تأسر قلوب محبِّي الأدب الحكمي. فدونكم هذا الكتاب المملوء بالحكم والمواعظ، المشحون بالمباحث الفقهية والفوائد.
