إن الديانات التي اعتنقها الانسان كثيرة العدد والمشهور منها قليل جدًا ويتشابه أغلبها في معظم طقوسها وتختلف في اسم الإله أو بعض الجزيئات المهمة والسبب في ذلك هو أن قوم الأنبياء عندما يتبعون ثم يتوفاه الله فإنهم يهودون لدمج بعض عاداتهم الوثنية مرة أخرى إلى دين نبيهم وتتشابه هذه الديانات الإلهية في الغالب لأنها نزلت جميعها من نفس المشكلة حيث سنها الله جميعًا لإعلاء شأن إنسان فهي أشبه بالآداب والأخلاق الموضوعة للتحابب ولتحذير الإنسان من أن يكون عدوًا لأخيه.
وقد ألف المؤلف هذا الكتاب لأنه قرأ جملة من الكتب التي ألفها المبشرون ومن ينحو نحوهم في اللغه العربية ضد الإسلام بالرغم من أن المسلمون لا يرضون للإنسانية أن تصل لهذا الحد المتدني في المعتقدات الدينية مما يتعارض مع ما وصلت إليه من رقي محسوس فرأى أن خير وسيلة وأحسنها أن يزف إليهم شيئًا من المقالات الدينية حتى يرى كل واحد منهم إن كان على هدى أو في ضلال حيين ولينصه الحقيقة والقيام بواجب الأخوة الإنسانية لأنه فرض في ديننا دعاء الناس إلى الحق وواجب علينا أن ندعوهم لمشاركتنا في أحسن شيء عندنا وهو ديننا.. الدين الإسلامي.
