كنَّا نتعلّم من والدكٓ أشكال تكوّر الظهر والقلب والعينين، كان جاداً في الانتظار، مدركاً للخيبات المتكررة. كان يعيش جحيماً كاملاً، يعيدُ نفسه، يكرر السقوط في الشوق كل دقيقة، ويمارس حقوقاً نادرة في الثقة أنك ستعود. مرّات كثيرة خيّلَ إليه أنك عدت، كان يقف متأهباً، مستعداً لمداواة جراحه برائحتك، كان كل مرة يتمسّك بنجمتين، وكل مرة يخسر دمع عينيه شوقاً ووجعاً.
عدْ… فنحن محكومون بالأمل.
