هذا الكتاب رغم صغره إلا أنه كثير النفع جامعة للعقائد الإجمالية والتفصيلية ، وجملة من العلوم التصوفية ، وخالصه من الشوائب الحشوية والتعقيدية فما كانت بهذه المثابة سألني بعض أصدقائي ، أصلح الله لي وله الحال والشان بجاه الرئيس الأكبر صفوة بنى عدنان ، أن أجعل لها شرحا يوضع ما فيها فأجبته إلى ذلك ، بعد توقفي أياما كثيرة لكوني غير أهل لسباحة هذا البحر العميق ، كما هو مشاهد بالتحقيق ، ملتقطا من كتب العلما المحققين ، متونا وشروحا وحواشى كأم البراهين وشرحها للسنوسى وحاشيته للدسوقي وحاشية البيجوري عليها، وحاشية على الجوهرة للشيح إبراهيم اللقاني ، وكاللمعة وشرحها للشنكي ، وشرح عقيدة الصبيان والجواهر الحيدرية له أيضا ، وغير ذلك مما سأذكر بعضه تصريحا أو تلويحاعند النقل منه ، رضى الله عن الجميع ، فنظمت ذلك في سلك التصنيف وسميته إيضا المعان من إفادة الإخوان.
