تهدف سلسلة النقايات فى مصر الى التطرق الى احد اهم المجالات التى لم تحظ باهتمام بحثى كاف فى مجال النظم السياسية المقارنة فجماعات المصالح ومنم اهمها النقابات تدخل فى فى نطاق دراسة المجتمع المدنى الذى تزايد الاهتمام به مؤخرا كنتيجة لمناخ التحول الديمقراطى الذى ظهر مع انهيار الكتلة الاشتراكية وبروز عصر العولمة وثورة الاتصالات . وفى هذا الاطار تقدم البنية المصرية نموذجا واضحا لدراسة النقابات فى الديمقراطيات المقيدة فى العالم الثالث مع الاعتراف بوجود نوع من الخصوصية للحالة المصرية التى تتزايد فيها اعداد النقابات مع عدم توافر المعلومات الكافية حول الكثير منها الامر الذى يثير العديد من التساؤلات حول توجهاتها وانشطتها والادوار تقوم بها . وتهدف فى هذه اللسلة الى تناول وضعية ودور هذه النقابات فى النظام السياسى ومعرفة دورها منذ نشأتها فى التعبير عن الرأى العام وتمثل مصالح فئاته المختلفة وقدرتها على الحفاظ على فاعليتها ودورها منذ نشأتها فى التعبير عن الراى العام وتمثيل مصالح فئاته المختلة وقدرتها على الحفاظ على فاعليتها ودروها المهنى كما تتناول ايضا عرقات النقابات بالحكومة بسلطاتها الثلاث التنفيذية والتشريعة والقضايا فى النظام السياسى كذلك علاقاتها بالاحزان والقوى السياسية فى المجتمع .
