إذا ما تذكرت شيئاً من أحلامي، فعادة ما يكون موقفاً أو صورة، لكنني نادراً ما أتذكر الكلمات المنطوقة أحلامي التي أراها مثل الأفلام الصامتة. على أية حال، في حلم حديث لي، قرصني شخص ما في كمي وقال:
تعالي، دعيني أريك رؤية شاملة للعالم!
الرؤية الموعودة- للأسف- لم تتحقق أبداً على أرض الواقع!..
أفقت من نومي، وكانت تلك الجملة هي كل ما بقى في ذاكرتي مع وخز خفيف من الإحباط نتيجة الوعد الذي لم يوف به، ماذا إذا لم أفق؟ ما الذي كان يمكن أن آراه؟
إننا لم نحصل على رؤية شاملة!.. ربما تسربت الجملة إلى حلمي من مرض ما بتعلق بالألفية الجديدة.. ولكن، كيف تتبدى هذه الرؤية؟ لقد استخدم مصطلح "الاستقلال الجميل" في المراجع القديمة للمعالجين النفسيين، لوصف أحد أعراض الهيستيريا.
إن غياب القلق، والاستقلال الجميل هو الموقف الذي انتظر فيه الجنس البشري نهاية الألفية الماضية وبداية هذه الألفية؛ ربما كان هذا مجرد عرض لخوف عميق، مرتبك بتلك الأسئلة المزعجة:
من نحن؟! ومم نتكون؟! إلى أين نتجه؟!.. لماذا غدا العرافون أسرع إنباء بمستقبل الأرض عن أسلافهم؟! ولماذا أمسينا أكثر قبولاً واستسلاماً لتلك النبؤات.. هل المسألة أن مستقبل العالم معرض للخطر؟
أياً كان الحال، بعد هذه الكلمات في الحلم- تعالى، دعني أريك رؤية شاملة للعالم- كنت أحاول أن أبقى أكثر انتباهاً في نومي! هل يحصل الإنسان على الفرصة مرتين؟ لا أريد أن تفوتني الرؤية!
