يعدّ النقد النسقيّ، بتعدّديّة مفاهيمه وإصطلاحاته (النقد المعرفيّ، والنقد الحضاريّ، والنقد الثقافيّ)، إتجاهاً نقديّاً فاعلاً في إكتناه النصوص تعميماً، والنصّ الشعريّ الجاهليّ تخصيصاً؛ بغية الكشف عن حركيّة الأنساق وتجلّياتها الموضوعيّة في بنية القصيدة الجاهليّة.
ولهذا يمكن القول: إنّ القراءة النسقيّة، بفعل تقاطعاتها مع الإتجاهات النظريّة المتعدّدة، تمثّل مقترباً تحليليّاً ناجعاً في سبيل اختبار الصيغ والتمثيلات الجماليّة والشيفرات الثقافيّة في البنى النصّيّة.
وفي إطار هذا المفهوم، يؤكّد الناقد روبرت شولز أنّ عملية قراءة النصّ الأدبيّ تتضمّن نمطين من الشيفرات: توليديّ، وثقافيّ؛ إذ تسمح الشيفرات الثقافيّة بتحليل المادّة اللفظيّة لكي نبني عالماً خياليّاً تكون أنفسنا، مشرقةً، لكي نموقع الشخصيّات ونفهم أحداثها وتراتبيّتها الإجتماعيّة، وهذا لا يكون إلاّ بفعل الله ذاتها الّتي تكون، بدورها مركزّاً للشيفرات الثقافيّة.
