الحمدلله أن جعلنا فى هذا الفريق القائم على نشر تراث سلفنا الصالح وإخراجه للمسلمين فى صورة نافعة إن شاء الله. ومن هذا التراث: "كتاب الورع " عن الإمام أحمد بن حنبل, تصنيف تلميذه النجيب أبي بكر المروزي -رحمهما الله- وفي هذا الكتاب أبواب تترى في مسائل الورع المختلفة من عبادات ومعاملات وأخلاق وآداب وغير ذلك.
وقد قمت بمقابلة الأصل -المخطوط- على النسخة المطبوعة من كتاب الورع نشر دار الكتب العلمية عام 1403 هجرى بتحقيق د/ زينب إبراهيم القاروط. ورأيت كثيرا من الفروق بين النسختين الخطية والمطبوعة, ولكن ل أعتن بإثبات هذه الفروق لعدم إثقال الهوامش وقد جعلت زيادات النسخة المطبوعة بين معكوفين ولم أنبه على ذلك في كل مرة.
قمت بتغيير كثير من الألفاظ في النسخة المطبوعة وأحللت بدلا منها الوارد فى النسخة الخطية إلا فى مواضع قليلة رأيت فيها أن ما في المطبوع أوفق للسياق مما في المخطوط. قمت بتخريج الأحاديث والآثار تخريجا مبسطا غير موسع لعدم المشقة على القارئ
ترجمت لبعض الأعلام الواردة فى الكتاب حسب حاجة النص لذلك. شرحت بعض معاني الغريب. ترجمت بإيجاز لكل من الإمام أحمد وأبي بكر المروزى. وثقت نسبة كتاب الورع للمروزي. وصفت النسخة الخطية مع تصوير بعضها. صنعت فهرسا للأحاديث فقط.
