إن أولى ما صرفت فيه نفائس الأيام، وأعلى ما خُصَّ بمزيد الاهتمام بعد كتاب الله عز وجل، الاشتغال بالسنة النبوية المتلقاة عن خير البرية، وقد تصدى للاقتباس من أنوارهما البهية تقريراً واستنباطاً، وكرع من مناهلهما الروية انتزاعاً وانتشاطاً، طائفة من السلف الكرام ممن كساهم الله تعالى جلابيب الفهم والأفهام، وأقدرهم على جمع سنن سيد المرسلين، الهادية إلى طرائق شرائع الدين، وتدوين ما تفرق منها في أقطار المسلمين بتفرق الصحابة والتابعين، وبذلك حفظت السُّنن وحفظ لها السَّنن، وسلمت عن زيغ المبتدعين وتحريف الجهلة المدعين.
وكان من هؤلاء العلماء الحافظ الحكيم الترمذي رحمه الله في كتابه: "نوادر الأصول" وهو كتاب فريد في بابه، ذكر فيه ثلاث مئة أصل إلا ستة، وبدأ كل أصل منها بحديث سمعه من شيوخه بسنده المتصل، ثم يعود ليفصل هذا الحديث شرحاً وبياناً لما خفي من ألفاظه، وأبهم من معانيه، والجاً في عباب العبارات ليخرج منها الدر والياقوت، بعبارات رشيقة وألفاظ عذبة، ثم يؤيد ما ذهب إليه بأدلة من الكتاب والسنة، سائقاً لها بإسناده تارة وبدونه أخرى.
أهمية الكتاب:
1ـ لأول مرة يطبع الكتاب كاملاً بهذه الحلة القشيبة، علماً أن المطبوع ـ وهو المختصر ـ لا يتجاوز الثلث منه.
2ـ امتازت هذه النسخة بوجود الإسناد، وهو ما يبحث عنه الطلبة، وخاصة أهل الحديث منهم.
3ـ لقد ضُبط النص وحقِّق تحقيقاً يليق بهذا السفر القيم إن شاء الله.
