تنشط حركة الترجمة حالياً من لغات غير الإنكليزية والفرنسية ولعل الأدب التركي هو أحد هذه الآداب التي تستحق الاهتمام وخاصة بالنسبة لنا نحن العرب فهذا الأدب يرتبط بجذور دينية ــ شرقية لنا بها علاقة وثيقة هذا من جهة ومن جهة أخرى بدأ الأدب التركي ومنذ فترة غير قصيرة يحتل مكانة مرموقة في الوسط الأدبي الأوروبي والعالمي مما يلقي مسؤولية كبيرة على المترجمين في عملية الاختيار ولا سيما وإن الأدب التركي أبرز الكثير من الأدباء الكبار.. وإذا كان بعض الأدباء المبدعين قد تأخرت ترجمة أعمالهم فقد حدث ذلك بسبب الحيرة التي تعتري المترجمين حين يودون الترجمة ويقدمون بعض الأعمال على أعمال أخرى. ستشعر وأنت تقرأ "الثانية عشرة إلا دقيقة" أنك تكتشف كاتباً عظيماً وعالماً خاصة وستتساءل: كيف لم أتعرف من قبل على هذا الكاتب الكبير ؟ وكم من الكتّاب الذين يثيرون الإعجاب لا نعرفهم لكونهم ليسوا كتّاباً من الغرب القادر على التريج لأدبه وتسويقه إلى العالم الثالث ؟!!
