أرض الغرب أرض تقدس الجمال وصانعه، تبجل مستخدمي اليد اليمنى، تمتهن ما دونهم، وتستبعد كل ناقص عجز عن صنع ذلك الجمال بيديه جالوت شاب أعسر، اضطر لإخفاء تلك الحقيقة مطولًا خلف قناع الغرور ليحفظ شرف عائلته التي توارثت لقب -الصاقل- لأجيال عدة، لكن أحدًا لم يرض بأن يأخذ جالوت الأعسر كل تلك الميزة، فأعدَّ مكيدته، وأضحى جالوت إثرها ناقصًا، وفي زخم الحادثة، قطعت عهود بلا معنى، فكيف سيحمي جالوت نفسه منها؟ وكيف سيقرر أصحابه حمايته بها؟ ومن سيضطر للخضوع تحت وطئها في النهاية؟ أم أن الأمر سيصبح أكبر من ذلك؟ وهل ستعد تلك الذراع ثمنًا زهيدًا لكي يكسر جالوت قوانين الأجيال والأوطان؟
